Project Manager (m/f/d) for the German Red Cross project “Team Family – Competent Parents, Strong Children”
May 21, 2026
The project 'Team Family – Competent Parents, Strong Children' is a new initiative designed to empower families on their path to greater participation, independence, and guidance in everyday life. To develop and implement this project, we are seeking a part-time Project Manager (m/f/d) starting August 1, 2025, with 31.2 hours per week.
Our Bremen district association is one of the largest associations within the German Red Cross (DRK) and currently employs approximately 1,400 people in a wide variety of fields. Guided by the principles of humanity, we are committed to the life, health, well-being, protection, peaceful coexistence, and dignity of all people.
The Center for School and Career (zsb), operated by the German Red Cross (DRK) Bremen District Association, has been working for many years at the intersection of youth services, schools, and the world of work. It implements project-funded programs in the areas of counseling, education, integration, and participation, cooperating closely with governmental and civil society actors. The aim of its work is to promote social participation, strengthen educational pathways, and support people in accessing training, employment, and the labor market.
The project 'Team Family – Competent Parents, Strong Children' is a new initiative scheduled to launch in August and will be implemented decentrally in various neighborhoods. It supports third-country national parents with integration and social participation through outreach counseling, accessible workshops, and supplementary services. The measures are practically oriented and support families in their interactions with daycare centers, schools, government agencies, and the healthcare system. Language learning programs are offered by partner organizations and supplemented by childcare to enable participation for parents with childcare responsibilities. The goal is to sustainably strengthen the families independence, skills, and opportunities for participation.
They will actively shape the programs content from the outset and support the development of a decentralized, practice-oriented support service. The employment contract is limited until June 30, 2029. Continued employment is the goal.
Your area of responsibility:
Project management and controlling, including reporting, statistics, and target and action planning
Coordination of cooperation partners and contact person for funding providers
Planning and implementation of outreach counselling as well as conducting workshops
Professional and organizational management of the project team
Budget responsibility and participation in economic planning
Networking and committee work as well as cooperation with authorities
Participation in application procedures and preparation of proof of expenditure
Support for quality management, especially in the development and updating of target and action plans
We offer you:
Remuneration according to the German Red Cross (DRK) reform collective agreement
Annual special payment according to collective agreement
Option of a 4-day week
Partially mobile working is possible
Integration into a dedicated team in a recognized independent welfare organization and employer with prospects
Supervision, training and further education opportunities
Auszug aus der Stellenausschreibung des Arbeitgebers. Die Bewerbung erfolgt über "Jetzt bewerben".
