The German Red Cross (DRK) Bremen branch is seeking a dedicated educational professional (m/f/d) for the 'sana – Movement and Joy of Life in Old Age' project, starting June 1, 2026. This is a part-time position (30 hours per week) initially limited to a parental leave cover position until March 31, 2028. Continued employment is the goal.

The Bremen district association is one of the largest associations of the German Red Cross (DRK) and currently employs around 1,400 people in a wide variety of fields. Guided by the principles of humanity, we are committed to the life, health, well-being, protection, peaceful coexistence, and dignity of all people.

The position is affiliated with the Center for School and Career (zsb). The zsb is a cooperative institution of the German Red Cross (DRK) at the interface of youth welfare, schools, and the world of work.

The sana project – Movement and Joy of Life in Old Age – is aimed at people aged 60 and over with a migration background. Its goal is to promote lifelong learning, social integration, and activity. The project offers exercise programs, German language courses, informational events on health topics, and weekly meetings to prevent loneliness.

The sana project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth as part of the 'Education and Engagement throughout Life (BELL)' program and by the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus (ESF Plus).

The job includes, among other things:

Outreach work in migrant communities to recruit and engage participants

Independent planning, organization and support of exercise, education and health programs for older people

Implementation and further development of group activities, open meetings and other low-threshold formats

Individual consultation for participants as well as referral advice and placement with suitable external specialist agencies

Establishment, maintenance and further development of collaborations with local institutions, advice centers and migrant womens organizations

Participation in the conception and implementation of workshops and events, for example on health, social and digital inclusion

Documentation of project activities and participation in the evaluation, for example, participation figures and feedback

Conducting simple customer satisfaction surveys and using the results to further develop the services

Regular participation in team meetings, case discussions and working groups, as well as contributing professional input

Active participation in the further development of the project in accordance with the needs of the target group
